Marmite-Aartappels
Bestanddele
- Aartappels, geskil en in halwes of kwarte gesny
- 2 groot houers dik room
- 2 – 3 eetlepels Marmite
Metode
- Plaas die aartapels in ‘n swaarboompot.
- Voeg die room by, en laat dit kookpunt bereik.
- Voeg die Marmite by sodra dit begin kook.
Laat dit kook tot al die vog verdamp het, en die aartappels in die oorblywende olie begin braai. - Draai die aartappels gereeld om sodat dit nie vasbrand nie.
- Hou die deksel op om te voorkom dat die olie spat.
- Onthou om die olie af te gooi nadat jy die aartappels uitgehaal het.
Marmite Potatoes
Ingredients
- Potatoes, peeled and cut in halves or quarters
- 2 large containers of thick cream
- 2 – 3 tablespoons of marmite
Method
- Place the potatoes in a heavy tree pot.
- Add the cream, and let it reach boiling point.
- Add the Marmite as soon as it starts cooking.
- Let it cook until all the moisture has evaporated, and start to fry the potatoes in the remaining oil.
- Turn the potatoes over often so they don’t burn.
- Hold the lid to prevent oil from splashing.
- Remember to discard the oil after peeling the potatoes.
