Aartappel Gereg

Benodig

  • 250g streaky spek
  • 250ml mayonnaise
  • 250ml blatjang (gewone of perske)
  • 250ml kook water
  • 8 – 10 medium aartappels
  • 2 uie
  • 1 pakkie wit uie sop poeier

Metode

  1. Skil en kook die aartappels tot gaar.
  2. Terwyl die aartappels kook, kap die uie fyn en die spek en braai in ‘n klein bietjie kook-olie in ‘n pan
  3. Sodra die aartappels gaar is, sny dit in skywe en plaas in oondvaste bak.
  4. Gooi die uie en spek bo-oor.
  5. Meng die mayonnaise, blatjang en sop poeier, meng deeglik!
  6. Voeg dan die kook water by (eers na die ander drie bestanddele goed gemeng is, anders gaan dit klonte vorm).
  7. Gooi die mengsel oor die aartapples
  8. Bak teen 180grade in ‘n voorverhitte oond tot goud-bruin in kleur.

Needed

  • 250ml mayonnaise
  • 250ml chutney (plain or peach)
  • 250ml boiling water
  • 8 – 10 medium potatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 1 packet of white onion soup powder

Method

  1. Peel and cook the potatoes until cooked.
  2. While the potatoes are cooking, finely chop the onions and the bacon and fry in a small amount of cooking oil in a pan
  3. Once the potatoes are cooked, cut them into slices and place in an ovenproof dish.
  4. Pour the onions and bacon on top.
  5. Mix the mayonnaise, chutney and soup powder, mix thoroughly!
  6. Then add the boiling water (only after the other three ingredients are well mixed, otherwise it will form lumps).
  7. Pour the mixture over the potatoes
  8. Bake at 180 degrees in a preheated oven until golden-brown in colour.
