Skokolade Koek

  • 1 koppie Coca Cola (die ware jakob, nie dieet)
  • ½ koppie olie
  • 115gr botter
  • 3 eetlepel kakao
  • 2 koppies suiker
  • 2 koppies meel
  • ½ teelepel sout
  • 2 eiers
  • ½ koppie karringmelk (½ kop melk met ½ eetl asyn)
  • 1 teelepel koeksoda
  • 1 teelepel vanielje

Versiersel

  • 115gr botter
  • 3 eetlepel kakao
  • 6 eetlepels room of melk
  • 1 teelepel vanieljegeursel
  • 3 en 3/4 koppies versiersuiker
  1. In ‘n kastrol, meng Coca Cola, olie, botter, kakao en bring tot kookpunt. In ‘n ander bak, meng die suiker, meel en sout.
  2. Giet die kokende Cola mengsel oor die meelmengsel en klop goed.
  3. Voeg die eiers, karringmelk, koeksoda en vanielje by en klop goed.
  4. Gooi die mengsel in ‘n gesmeerde en meelbestrooide 13 x 9 duim bak pan en bak by 180 grade 20 tot 25 minute.
  5. Verwyder uit pan.
  6. Laat afkoel vir sowat 10 minute voor jy dit versier

Versiersel

  1. In ‘n kastrol, meng die botter, kakao en melk tot die botter gesmelt is.
  2. Klits die res van die bestanddele by en smeer oor koek terwyl die versiersel nog warm is.
    Opsioneel: Strooi gekapte neute of sjokolade skaafsels oor.

Chocolate Cake

  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 cups of flour
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup buttermilk (½ cup milk with ½ tablespoon vinegar)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

Icing

  • 115 gr butter
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa
  • 6 tablespoons of cream or milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 3 and 3/4 cups icing sugar
  1. In a saucepan, mix Coca Cola, oil, butter, cocoa and bring to a boil.
  2. In another bowl, mix the sugar, flour and salt.
  3. Pour the boiling Cola mixture over the flour mixture and beat well.
  4. Add the eggs, buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla and beat well.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased and floured 13 x 9 inch baking pan and bake at 180 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from pan. Let cool for about 10 minutes before icing.

Icing

  1. In a saucepan, mix the butter, cocoa and milk until the butter is melted.
  2. Whisk in the rest of the ingredients and spread over cake while the icing is still warm.
    Optional: Sprinkle with chopped nuts or chocolate shavings.
