Masala Chai
Ingredients:
- 2 cups water
- 2 tsp tea black tea leaves ( preferably assam tea)
- 1 inch cinnamon
- 1 inch ginger
- 2 cloves
- 2 crushed cardamom pods
- Sweetener of choice
- ¼ cup milk or more if you like
Recipe:
- In a mortar and pestle add in all the spices – ginger, cinnamon, clove, cardamom and crush them.
- Into a heating pot, add in the water, along with the crushed spices and let it come to a boil.
- Then, add in the tea powder and let it boil for 2 minutes.
- Add in the milk and simmer for 1-2 mins before turning off the heat.
