Hamburger Steak Smothered in Creamy Onion Gravy

Ingredients:
For the steak:
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the gravy:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Form into 4 patties.
- Cook patties in a skillet over medium heat until browned on both sides.
- Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add onions.
- Cook until soft.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Bring to a simmer.
- Return the patties to the skillet with the gravy.
- Cook until the gravy thickens and the patties are cooked through.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot.
