Beef Lo Mein

Ingredients:
- 8 oz lo mein noodles or spaghetti
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch.
- Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add the sliced flank steak and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned.
- Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, heat another tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, sliced carrots, and sliced mushrooms to the skillet.
- Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables.
- Add the cooked lo mein noodles to the skillet and toss everything together until well coated in the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce has thickened slightly and everything is heated through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
