Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over each chicken breast.
  4. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and sear on each side until golden brown.
  6. Sprinkle any remaining spice mixture over the chicken.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
