Crispy Fried Mushrooms
Ingredients:
- 1 lb button mushrooms, cleaned
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing (for dipping)
Instructions:
- In a shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place beaten eggs in a second shallow bowl.
- Place panko breadcrumbs in a third shallow bowl.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Dredge each mushroom first in the flour mixture, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Fry the mushrooms in batches, without overcrowding the pot, until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with ranch dressing for dipping.
