Pizza Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb rotini pasta
  • 1 lb ground Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cups pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup mini pepperoni
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook rotini pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned.
  4. Add the diced onion and green bell pepper, cooking until softened.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta, sausage mixture, pizza sauce, black olives, mushrooms, and half of the mini pepperoni in a large bowl.
  6. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  8. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and the remaining mini pepperoni.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
