Deconstructed Lasagna Bowl
Simplified Elegance: Deconstructed Lasagna Bowl
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 9 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Directions:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
- Add the ground beef, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook until the beef is browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the lasagna pieces in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente.
- Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, and the Parmesan cheese.
- To assemble, place a layer of broken lasagna pieces in a bowl.
- Top with a generous spoonful of the meat sauce, then dollop with the cheese mixture.
- Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top and microwave for a minute or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
