Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 cups spinach leaves
Directions:
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
- Bring to a simmer.
- Add spinach to the sauce and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
