Chicken Lazone

Chicken Lazone

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Cooked pasta or rice, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with the spice mixture, pressing it gently to adhere.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  6. Reduce the heat to medium-low.
  7. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  8. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  9. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the creamy sauce.
  10. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the chicken is heated through.
  11. Serve the Chicken Lazone over cooked pasta or rice, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
