Chicken Lazone
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Cooked pasta or rice, for serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Directions:
- In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper.
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with the spice mixture, pressing it gently to adhere.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat.
- Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low.
- Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the creamy sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the chicken is heated through.
- Serve the Chicken Lazone over cooked pasta or rice, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
