  1. Meng meel met speserye van jou keuse en rol die hoenderstukke in die mengsel.
  2. Sny 2 uie in dun skywe.
  3. Sny 1 pak Sampioene in skywe.
  4. Pak lae om die beurt van vleis, uie en sampioene in ‘n oondvaste bak.
  • 250ml Melk
  • 250 ml Room
  • 1 e Worcestersous
  • 1 e Blatjang
  • 1 e Tamatiesous
  • 1 pakkie Wit uie sop.
  • 1 pak Beef Stroganoff [Dry cook in sauce van Knorr]
  1. Meng alles goed en gooi oor vleis in bak.
  2. Maak toe met n deksel of foilie.
  3. Bak vir 60 – 90 min by 180*C.

Translation

Chicken

  • 2 kg Chicken pieces
  • Flour
  • Spices of your choice
  • 2 onions
  • 1 pack of Mushrooms
  1. Mix flour with spices of your choice and roll the chicken pieces in the mixture.
  2. Thinly slice 2 onions.
  3. Slice 1 pack of Mushrooms.
  4. Pack alternating layers of meat, onions and mushrooms in an ovenproof dish.
  • 250ml Milk
  • 250 ml Cream
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp chutney
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 packet of White Onion Soup.
  • 1 pack Beef Stroganoff [Dry cook in sauce from Knorr]
  1. Mix everything well and pour over meat in bowl.
  2. Close with a lid or foil.
  3. Bake for 60 – 90 min at 180*C.

Gebakte Mayonaise en Chutney Hoender

Bestanddele:

  • 1 pak (8-10) hoenderstukke
  • 1 pk bruin uiesop poeier
  • 250 ml warm water (nie kook)
  • 1/2 k mayonaise
  • 1/4 k chutney
  • 1/4 k soet chilli sous
  • 1/4 k tamatie sous
  • Sout

Metode:

  1. Oond 180 gr C.
  2. Pak die hoender stukke in ‘n oondbak en geur liggies met sout.
  3. Meng die uiesop-poeier met die warm water.
  4. Roer die mayonaise, chutney, soet chillie sous en tamatie sous daarby.
  5. Gooi oor hoender en bedek met tinfoelie.
  6. Bak vir 50-60 minute.
  7. Haal foelie af en bak oop tot goudbruin.

Translation

Baked Mayonnaise and Chutney Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack (8-10) chicken pieces
  • 1 pk brown onion soup powder
  • 250 ml warm water (not boiling)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chutney
  • 1/4 cup sweet chilli sauce
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • Salt

Method:

  1. Oven 180 gr C.
  2. Pack the chicken pieces in an oven dish and lightly season with salt.
  3. Mix the onion soup powder with the hot water.
  4. Stir in the mayonnaise, chutney, sweet chilli sauce and tomato sauce.
  5. Pour over chicken and cover with tin foil.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake until golden brown.

Hoender Lewertjies in Roomsous

  • 1 gekapte ui
  • 1 gekapte knoffelhuisie
  • 2 eetlepel canola-olie
  • gesnyde sampioene
  • 2 bakkies [250gr elk] hoenderlewertjies
  • 1 eetlepel soetrissiesous
  • sout en peper
  • 125 ml room
  • geroosterde brood
  1. Braai 1 gekapte ui en 1 gekapte knoffelhuisie in 2 E canola-olie.
  2. Voeg paar gesnyde sampioene by en roer deur.
  3. Voeg dan 2 bakkies [250gr elk] hoenderlewertjies, skoon gemaak, by.
  4. Braai tot net gaar, nog effe pienk binne-in.
  5. Roer 1 E soetrissiesous en sout en peper na smaak by.
  6. Roer dan 125 ml room by en kook net deur.
  7. Laat staan paar minute dat sous effe kan verdik.
  8. Bedien met geroosterde brood in drie hoeke gesny.

Translation

Chicken Livers in Cream Sauce

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoons of canola oil
  • sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tubs [250gr each] chicken livers
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 125 ml of cream
  • toasted bread
  1. Fry 1 chopped onion and 1 chopped garlic clove in 2 tablespoons canola oil.
  2. Add some sliced mushrooms and stir.
  3. Then add 2 tubs [250gr each] of chicken livers, cleaned.
  4. Fry until just cooked, still slightly pink inside.
  5. Stir in 1 tbsp chili sauce and salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Then stir in 125 ml of cream and just cook through.
  7. Leave for a few minutes so that the sauce can thicken a bit.
  8. Served with toasted bread cut into three corners.

Gebakte Kerriehoender

  • 4 tot 6 Groot aartappels
  • Sout en vars gemaalde swartpeper
  • 6 tot 8 hoenderporsies
  • 40 ml Olyfolie
  • 30 tot 45 ml Hoenderspeserye of Masala Mix van Ina Paarman
  • 2 Rooiuie, in kwarte gesny
  • 2 Heel knoffelhuisies

Sous

  • 15 ml Mielieblom (maizina)
  • 20 ml Water
  • 125 ml Room
  • 125 ml Gewone jogurt
  • Hand vol koljanderblare
  1. Voorverhit die oond tot 200 °C en smeer ’n middelslag-oondbak.
  2. Kook die aartappels tot net sag (nie pap nie) en sny in 2 cm-skywe.
  3. Pak die aartappels in die oondbak en geur met sout en peper.
  4. Verf die hoenderstukke met ’n bietjie van die olie en bedek dit met die hoenderspeserye.
  5. Pak die hoender bo-op die aartappels gevolg deur die uie en knoffel.
  6. Bak 15 minute.
  7. Meng intussen die mielieblom en water en roer dit saam met die room en jogurt in ’n mengbeker.
  8. Giet die sous bo-oor die hoender.
  9. Verlaag die hitte na 180 °C en bak nog 20 tot 40 minute of tot gaar.
  10. Sprinkel met koljanderblare en sit voor met rys.
  11. Genoeg vir 4 mense.

Translation

Baked Curry Chicken

  • 4 to 6 large potatoes
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 to 8 chicken portions
  • 40 ml Olive oil
  • 30 to 45 ml Chicken Spices or Masala Mix from Ina Paarman
  • 2 Red onions, quartered
  • 2 Whole cloves of garlic

Sauce

  • 15 ml maize flour (maizina)
  • 20 ml Water
  • 125 ml Cream
  • 125 ml plain yogurt
  • Handful of coriander leaves
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C and grease a medium baking tray.
  2. Boil the potatoes until just soft (not mushy) and cut into 2 cm slices.
  3. Put the potatoes in the oven and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Paint the chicken pieces with a little of the oil and cover them with the chicken spices.
  5. Place the chicken on top of the potatoes followed by the onions and garlic.
  6. Bake 15 minutes.
  7. In the meantime, mix the cornflour and water and stir it together with the cream and yogurt in a mixing cup.
  8. Pour the sauce over the top of the chicken.
  9. Reduce the heat to 180 °C and bake for another 20 to 40 minutes or until cooked.
  10. Sprinkle with coriander leaves and serve with rice.
  11. Enough for 4 people.

Hoender of Maalvleis Rolletjies

Deeg:

  • 8 kop meel
  • 1 tl sout
  • 500gr to bake stork margarine
  1. Rasper die botter in die meel en soutmengsel in en vryf in met jou vingers
  2. Meng 4 eiergele met 4 eetl asyn en gooi 500ml YSKASWATER by
  3. Meng alles goed en rol uit
  4. Sny jou blokkies vir die pasteitjie – ek en my ma het die groote mooi uitgewerk
  5. Sny dit 5cm by 7 cm – dit is ‘n mooi fyn maar groot genoeg pasteitjie

Vleismengsel:

  1. Maak maalvleis gaar op stoof SONDER ENIGE WATER OF UIE.
  2. Voeg sout en peper by na smaak.
  3. Maak kappokaartappels – kook net die aartappels op en mash met klein bietjie melk
    1. Die formule moet wees bv 1kg maalvleis op 1 kg mash – of 500gr op 500gr – jy bepaal hoeveel rolletjies jy wil maak
  4. Meng die maalvleis en mash goed
  5. Vat jou vinger, maak nat met water en smeer bo-oor die pasteideeg.
  6. Sit vleis in en rol toe.
  7. Seël jou kant mooi toe met water op die vinger wat jy smeer tot glad.
  8. Pak jou vleispasteitjies op bakplaat .
  9. Vat 1 eetlepel mayonnaise gemeng met 1 eiergeel.
  10. Met jou kwassie verf die hele vleispasteitjie mooi – ooral – probeer om nie plekkies te mis nie want die mayonnaise gee die pasty so ‘n mooi bruin goue kleur as gebak is, en as daar plekkies is wat jy nie geverf het nie, is daar wit kolle op die pasty.
  11. Strooi bietjie sesame saadjies bo-op.
  12. Bak vir ongeveer 30 min by 150 grade C

Translation

Chicken or Minced Meat Sausage Rolls

Dough:

  • 8 cups of flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 500gr to bake stock margarine
  1. Grate the butter into the flour and salt mixture and rub in with your fingers
  2. Mix 4 egg yolks with 4 tablespoons of vinegar and add 500ml REFRIGERATOR WATER
  3. Mix everything well and roll out
  4. Cut your squares for the pie – my mother and I worked out the big ones nicely.
  5. Cut it 5cm by 7cm – it’s a pretty fine but big enough pie.

Meat Mixture:

  1. Cook minced meat on stove WITHOUT ANY WATER OR ONIONS.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Make kappo potatoes – just boil the potatoes and mash with a little milk
    1. The formula must be, for example, 1kg mince on 1kg mash – or 500gr on 500gr – you decide how many rolls you want to make
  4. Mix the minced meat and mash well
  5. Take your finger, wet with water and spread on top of the pie dough.
  6. Put meat in and roll up.
  7. Seal your side well with water on the finger that you spread until smooth.
  8. Place your meat pies on a baking tray
  9. Take 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise mixed with 1 egg yolk.
  10. With your brush, paint the whole meat patty nicely – everywhere – try not to miss any spots because the mayonnaise gives the patty such a nice brown golden color when baked, and if there are spots that you haven’t painted, there are white spots on the pie.
  11. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top.
  12. Bake for about 30 min at 150 degrees C

  • 1 t knoffelvlokkies
  • 1 e suurlemoensap
  1. Peper na smaak(geen water nie of vloeistof nie – die hoender het genoeg vog in)
  2. Smeer die dik mayo mengsel bo-op die hoender stukke
  3. Sny uie fyn of in ringe en sit bo-op
  4. Bak in die oond by 180 C – onbedek vir ongeveer 1 uur of tot hoender sag is en die sous dik is
  5. Bedien met bruinrys en slaai!.

  • 6 chicken portions (I use thighs)
  • Pack it in a baking dish
  • Make sauce from: 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 e FLIPPEN LEKKA Spice
  • 3 tbsp bergamot or apricot jam
  • 1 t garlic flakes
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  1. Pepper to taste (no water or liquid – the chicken has enough moisture in it)
  2. Spread the thick mayo mixture on top of the chicken pieces
  3. Cut onions finely or into rings and put on top
  4. Bake in the oven at 180 C – uncovered for about 1 hour or until the chicken is tender and the sauce is thick
  5. Served with brown rice and salad!.

  1. Kook hoender in coke.

    2. Oppas net vir te veel soya sous doen na smaak en moet toffie vorm so beperk joy coke inhoud.
  2. Variasie van coke hoender met stroop- gooi pakkie mushroomsop poeier oor hoenderstukkies en gooi coke bo oor en bak in oond tot gaar- heerlik!
    1. Nee geen deksel en ek bak by 180 grade tot gaar.
  3. 1,5 kg hoender, 200 ml blatjang, 200 ml appelkooskonfyt, 375 ml Coke, 200 ml tamatiesous.
    1. Sit hoender in oondpan.
    2. Meng res van bestanddele goed en gooi bo-oor.
    3. Bak @ 180 tot gaar.
    4. Ek bak dit so tussen 60 en 90 minute.
  4. My coke hoender is my eie volgens my smaak.
    1. Ek vat 6 van elk dye en boudjies en vlerkies.
    2. Braai dit in marg tot bruin.
    3. Meng 350ml coke 3eetlepels sojasous en 2eetlepels bruinsuiker.
    4. Kook op medium hitte vir 20 min met deksel op.
    5. Toets vir gaar,laat oop kook tot sous lekker stroperig is.
    6. Hou net kort kort dop anders brand dit en die hoender moet omgedraai word dat dit oral oor in di stroop kan gaar word.
  5. Plain coke hoender
    1. Kook hoender met coke en soya sauce saam nie te veel coke nie maak hoender net toe en kook tot hoender gaar is en dan vat ons stroop en gooi dit ook saam tot hy so bietjie in die stroop braai hy maak so lekker sous kom uit net soos hongkong hoender en baje lekker ) jy gooi die stroop saam met die coke wat nog oorbly in die pot as jy sien jy meskien te veel coke in gooi bietjie uit voor jy die stroop in sit.

Rice Krispie en Kaas Hoender

Bestanddele:

  • 1/4 koppie botter, gesmelt
  • 1/2 koppie meel
  • 1 teelepel sout
  • 1 teelepel peper
  • 1 teelepel knoffel poeier/vlokkies
  • 1 eier
  • 1 eetlepel melk
  • 1 koppie gerasperde cheddarkaas
  • 1 sakkie Skud n Bak krummels of broodkrummels, of kellogs fyngemaak, of provitas (jou keuse)
  • 1 koppie Rice Krispies
  • 3 tot 4 ontbeende, hoender, sonder vel, in die helfte gesny.

Metode:

  1. Verhit die oond tot 180 F.
  2. Gooi jou gesmelte botter in die oondpan en smeer die pan.
  3. Meng die meel, sout, peper en knoffel poeier in ‘n bak.
  4. Sit foil oor en bak vir ‘n uur in oond by 180°C.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder/flakes

  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag Shake n Bake crumbs or breadcrumbs, or crushed kellogs, or provitas (your choice)
  • 1 cup Rice Krispies
  • 3 to 4 boneless, skinless chicken, cut in half.

Method:

  1. Heat the oven to 180 F.
  2. Pour your melted butter into the oven pan and grease the pan.
  3. Mix the flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder in a bowl.
  4. Put foil over and bake for an hour in the oven at 180°C.

Hoenderlewer Paste

  • 250 grm Hoender Lewertjies
  • 1 x ui
  • 1 x Tamatie
  • 1 x 250 grm gemengde gevriesde groente
  • 1 x 1/2 koppie gerasperde Kaas
  • 1x Koppie Melk
  • 1 x Eier ( Ek het 2 eiers gebruik
  • Speserye na smaak
  1. Braai uie & Tamatie tot lekker smoor.
  2. Voeg Lewertjies en speserye by en braai tot gaar.
  3. Maak Gevriesde groente in Mikrogolf gaar.
  4. Meng Melk en eier
  5. Kry oondbak en smeer met Spray & Cook
  6. Gooi Lewermengsel in bak
  7. Gooi Gemengde groente oor
  8. Strooi Gerasperde Kaas oor
  9. Laastens versprei melk en eier mengsel oor die Pastei.
  10. Bak in oond tot Kaas gesmelt en eier gestol.
  11. Skep uit en geniet.

(Alternatief kan Maalvleis of Hoender gebruik word.)

  • 250 gr Chicken Livers
  • 1 x onion
  • 1 x Tomato
  • 1 x 250 gr mixed frozen vegetables
  • 1 x 1/2 cup grated Cheese
  • 1x Cup of Milk
  • 1 x Egg (I used 2 eggs
  • Spices to taste
  1. Fry onions & Tomatoes until nicely stewed.
  2. Add Livers and spices and fry until cooked.
  3. Cook Frozen Vegetables in Microwave.
  4. Mix Milk and egg
  5. Get a baking tray and coat with Spray & Cook
  6. Pour Liver mixture into bowl
  7. Pour over Mixed Vegetables
  8. Sprinkle with grated cheese
  9. Finally, spread the milk and egg mixture over the Pie.
  10. Bake in oven until cheese is melted and egg is set.
  11. Serve and enjoy.

(Alternatively, ground beef or chicken can be used.)
