Stampmielie Gereg

  • 3 koppies stampmielies
  • 1 koppie Mayonaise
  • 1 Uie gekap
  • 1 pakkie Sampioensop
  • 1 koppie Room (ek het so 2 koppies gebruik)
  • 1 pakkie Wit Uiesop
  • 1 pakkie spek
  • Kaas
  1. Gooi stampmielies die vorige aand in water.
  2. Spoel die volgende oggend af en kook tot sag in sout water.
  3. Braai spek en uie tot gaar.
  4. Meng Mayonaise, room en sop saam.
  5. Meng saam met gaar stampmielies en gooi in oondpan.
  6. Rasper kaas bo-op.
  7. Strooi ‘n bietjie rooipeper oor.
  8. Bak op 180⁰ C tot kaas gesmelt het, bedien warm.

Translation

Corn Dish

  • 3 cups squash
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 packet of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup Cream (I used about 2 cups)
  • 1 packet of White Onion Soup
  • 1 packet of bacon
  • Cheese
  1. Soak squash in water the night before.
  2. Rinse the next morning and boil until soft in salted water.
  3. Fry bacon and onions until cooked.
  4. Mix Mayonnaise, cream and soup together.
  5. Mix with cooked squash and pour into oven pan.
  6. Grate cheese on top.
  7. Sprinkle some cayenne pepper over it.
  8. Bake at 180⁰ C until cheese has melted, serve hot

Mielie-Aartappelgereg

  • 4 groot aartappels, halfgaar
  • 1 ui, gekap
  • 1 blikkie geroomde suikermielies
  • 300ml kaas, gerasper
  • 10 ml Flippen Lekka Spice
  • 2 eiers
  • 2ml Tabascosous
  • 250ml room
  1. Stel die oond op 180C.
  2. Sny die halfgaar aartappels in dun skyfies en plaas dit in ‘n gesmeerde oondskottel.
  3. Besprinkel die aartappelskyfies met Flippen Lekka Spice.
  4. Strooi ‘n laag van die gekapte uie oor.
  5. Skep van die ingemaakte mielies bo-oor en strooi gerasperde kaas oor.
  6. Herhaal die lae totdat als opgebruik is.
  7. Strooi gerasperde kaas heel bo.
  8. Klits die eiers goed en voeg die Tobascosous, en room by.
  9. Gooi die eiermengsel oor die lae in die oondskottel.
  10. Sit die deksel op en bak sowat 35 minute in die voorverhitte oond.
  11. Haal die deksel af en bak tot goudbruin…Heerlik…

Mielie Potatoes

4 large potatoes, half-garaged
1 onion, tightened
1 tin of frozen sugar corn
300ml cheese, grated
10 ml Flippen Lekka Spice
2 eggs
2ml Tabascosous
250ml room

Preheat oven to 180C.
Cut the semi-cooked potatoes into thin slices and place them in a greased oven dish.
Sprinkle potato chips with Flippen Lekka Spice.
Spread a layer of chopped onions over.
Place some of the pickled corn over the top and sprinkle grated cheese over.
Repeat the layers until all is used.
Sprinkle grated cheese over the top.
Beat the eggs well and add the Tobascosous, and add cream.
Pour the egg mixture over the layers in the oven
Put the lid on and bake for about 35 minutes in the preheated oven.
Take off the lid and bake until golden brown… Delicious…
