Wit of Sjokolade Koek

  • 125ml kakao of Maizena
  • 190ml kookwater of melk
  • 440ml koekmeel
  • 440ml strooisuiker/ fyngemaakte bruinsuiker
  • 5ml sout
  • 15ml bakpoeier
  • 125ml olie
  • 7 eiers, geskei
  • 5ml vanilla
  • 2 ml kremetart
  1. Meng kakao en kookwater tot glad en laat afkoel. (Vir wit koek, meng net melk en Maizena.)
  2. Sif meel, strooisuiker, bakpoeier en sout saam in groot mengbak.
  3. Maak holte in die middel.
  4. Gooi olie, eiergele, vanilla en kakaomengsel in holte en klits goed.
  5. In n skoon bak, klits eierwitte en kremetart tot baie styf.
  6. Vou liggies deur sjokolade mengsel en gooi in 2 gesmeerde koekpanne.
  7. Bak by 180 grade Celcius vir 40-45 minute tot gaar.
  8. Keer uit op draadrak en laat afkoel.
  9. Versier na wense.

Translation

White or Chocolate Cake

  • 125ml cocoa or Maizena
  • 190ml boiling water or milk
  • 440ml cake flour
  • 440ml caster sugar/crushed brown sugar
  • 5ml of salt
  • 15ml baking powder
  • 125ml of oil
  • 7 eggs, separated
  • 5ml vanilla
  • 2 ml custard tart
  1. Mix cocoa and boiling water until smooth and leave to cool. (For white cake, just mix milk and Maizena.)
  2. Sift flour, caster sugar, baking powder and salt together in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Make a hollow in the middle.
  4. Pour oil, egg yolks, vanilla and cocoa mixture into cavity and beat well.
  5. In a clean bowl, whisk egg whites and cream of tartar until very stiff.
  6. Gently fold through chocolate mixture and pour into 2 greased cake pans.
  7. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 40-45 minutes until done.
  8. Turn out onto wire rack and let cool.
  9. Decorate as desired.

  • 250ml koekmeel
  • 45ml kakao
  • 250ml kookwater
  • 2 eiers
  • 12ml bakpoeier
  • 250ml suiker
  • 50ml kookolie
  • 2ml sout
  • 5ml vanilla
  1. Sif droë bestandele.
  2. Voeg suiker by.
  3. Meng eiers, kookwater, kookolie en saam.
  4. Voeg vanilla by.
  5. Meng met meelmengsel.
  6. Gooi in gesmeerde mikrogolfoond-pan/ek bak.
  7. Bak 9 min by 100% krag.

Sous:

  • 110ml suiker
  • 30ml kakao
  • 250ml water
  • 5ml vanilla
  • 15Ml koffie poeier of brandewyn of donker rum.
  1. Voeg alles bymekaar en kook.
  2. Wanneer koek uit mikrogolfoond kom, gooi oor.
  3. Wag tot afgekoel.
  4. Meng een blik caramel treat met stuif geklitste room of orleywhip.
  5. Smeer oor koek en breek n flake oor.

Translation

Microwave Chocolate Cake

  • 250ml cake flour
  • 45ml cocoa
  • 250ml boiling water
  • 2 eggs
  • 12ml baking powder
  • 250ml sugar
  • 50ml cooking oil
  • 2 ml of salt
  • 5ml vanilla
  1. Sift dry ingredients.
  2. Add sugar.
  3. Mix eggs, boiling water, cooking oil and together.
  4. Add vanilla.
  5. Mix with flour mixture.
  6. Pour into greased microwave oven pan/baking tray.
  7. Bake 9 min at 100% power.

Sauce:

  • 110ml sugar
  • 30ml of cocoa
  • 250ml of water
  • 5ml vanilla
  • 15ml coffee powder or brandy or dark rum.
  1. Add everything together and cook.
  2. When cake comes out of microwave, pour over.
  3. Wait until cooled.
  4. Mix one tin of caramel treat with whipped cream or Orleywhip.
  5. Spread over cake and break a flake over.

Sous

  • 1 1/2 koppie suiker
  • 1 1/2 koppie water
  • 1 teelepel vanielje
  • 3 teelepels poeierkoffie
  • kondensmelk
  • flake
  1. Meng 1/2 koppie kakao met 1 koppie kookwater, 1 teelepel vanielje en 1/2 koppie kookolie.
  2. Laat afkoel.
  3. Klits 3 eiers en 1 1/2 koppie suiker.
  4. Voeg kakao mengsel by.
  5. Sif 2 koppies meel, 3teelepels bakpoeier en ‘n ruim knippie sout saam.
  6. Voeg die kakao mengsel by.
  7. Gooi mengsel in ‘n groot gesmeerde/gespuite pyrex bak.
  8. Bak vir 30 minute teen 180°C.
  9. Maak solank die sous.
  10. Meng 1 1/2 koppie suiker,
  11. 1 1/2 koppie water,
  12. 1 teelepel vanielje en
  13. 3 teelepels poeierkoffie saam in ‘n kastrolletjie.
  14. Laat dit net opkook.
  15. Gooi die sous oor die koek as dit uit die oond kom.
  16. Smeer gekookte kondensmelk oor die koek en versier met room en flake.

Translation

Chocolate Cake

  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar.
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 3 teaspoons of baking powder
  • pinch of salt together.

Sauce

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 3 teaspoons of powdered coffee
  • condensed milk
  • flakes
  1. Mix 1/2 cup cocoa with 1 cup boiling water, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 cup cooking oil.
  2. Allow to cool.
  3. Beat 3 eggs and 1 1/2 cups of sugar.
  4. Add cocoa mixture.
  5. Sift together 2 cups of flour, 3 teaspoons of baking powder and a generous pinch of salt.
  6. Add the cocoa mixture.
  7. Pour mixture into a large greased/sprayed pyrex bowl.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C.
  9. Meanwhile make the sauce.
  10. Mix 1 1/2 cups of sugar,
  11. 1 1/2 cup water,
  12. 1 teaspoon vanilla and
  13. 3 teaspoons of powdered coffee together in a saucepan.
  14. Just let it boil.
  15. Pour the sauce over the cake when it comes out of the oven.
  16. Spread boiled condensed milk over the cake and decorate with cream and flake.

Amarula Sjokolade Karamel Koek

Bestanddele:

Koek:

  • 1/3 Koppie Kakao
  • 1/2 Koppie Kookwater
  • 3 Ekstra-groot Eiers
  • 1 Koppie Suiker
  • 1/4 Koppie Olie
  • 1 1/4 Koppie Meel
  • 2 Teelepels Bakpoeier
  • 1/2 Teelepel Sout

Stroop:

  • 3/4 Koppie Suiker
  • 3/4 Koppie Water
  • 1/4 Koppie Amarula

Bo-Laag:

  • 1 Blikkie Karamel Kondensmelk
  • 2 Koppies Geklitsde Room
  • 1 Flake Sjokolade

Metode:

  1. Voorverhit die oond tot 180°C.
  2. Meng die kakao en kookwater, roer tot kakao opgelos is, laat afkoel.
  3. Klits die eiers, suiker en olie tot dik en romerig, gooi die kakao mengsel by en klits.
  4. Sif die meel, bakpoeier en sout saam en gooi die eier mengsel saam en klits tot gemeng.
  5. Gooi in ‘n gebotterde pan en bak 20-25 minute of tot toetspen skoon uitkom.
  6. Maak die stroop 5 minute voor die einde van die bak tyd, kook die suiker en water saam vir 4-5 minute, verwyder van hitte en roer amarula in.
  7. Sodra die koek kla gebak is, druk gaatjies in met ‘n vurk, gooi die amarula mengsel bo-oor en laat afkoel.
  8. Verwyder die koek van die pan en sit karamel, geklitsde room en flake bo-oor.

Amarula Chocolate Caramel Cake

Ingredients:

Cake:

  • 1/3 Cup of Cocoa
  • 1/2 Cup of Boiling Water
  • 3 Extra-large Eggs
  • 1 Cup of Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Oil
  • 1 1/4 Cup Flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt

Syrup:

  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup of Water
  • 1/4 Cup Amarula

Top Layer:

  • 1 Can of Caramel Condensed Milk
  • 2 Cups Whipped Cream
  • 1 Flake Chocolate

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Mix the cocoa and boiling water, stir until cocoa is dissolved, let cool.
  3. Beat the eggs, sugar and oil until thick and creamy, add the cocoa mixture and beat.
  4. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together and pour the egg mixture together and beat until combined.
  5. Pour into a buttered pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
  6. Make the syrup 5 minutes before the end of the baking time, boil the sugar and water together for 4-5 minutes, remove from heat and stir in amarula.
  7. Once the cake is baked, poke holes with a fork, pour the amarula mixture on top and leave to cool.
  8. Remove the cake from the pan and put caramel, whipped cream and flake on top.

Sjokolade Ideal Melk Koek

Sif saam

  • 1 koppie meel
  • 1 koppie suiker
  • 3 t bakpoeier
  • ‘n Knippie sout

Klits saam

  • 1/4 koppie kakaopoeder
  • 1/2 koppie warm water
  • 1/2 koppie olie
  • 4 eiergele
  1. Meng die nat bestanddele in die meelmengsel.
  2. Klits die eierwitte (moenie te veel klop nie) en vou dit in die mengsel.
  3. Smeer die bak/pan met olie en bak dit by 180 C vir 30 minute of totdat ‘n tandestokkie skoon uitkom.
    Myne was presies 30 minute.

Sous:

  1. Gooi warm sous oor die koek sodra dit uit die oond kom.
  2. 1 blik Ideal-melk (hou 1/4 blikkie eenkant)
  3. 1 koppie suiker
  4. Kook dit saam en gooi oor die warm koek.
  5. Smelt 2 normale grootte heel neut sjokolade blokke en die oorblywende 1/4 blikkie Ideal-melk saam.
  6. Moenie dit kook nie, net laat smelt.
  7. En gooi oor die afgekoelde koek.
  8. Geniet dit!

Jy kan dit bedien met room en aarbeie as jy wil!
*Ek het koffiepoeier by die warm water van die koek gevoeg om dit ‘n ryker smaak te gee! Baie lekker!

Chocolate Ideal Milk Cake

Sift together

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 3 t baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Whisk together
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 4 egg yolks
  1. Mix the wet ingredients into the flour mixture.
  2. Beat the egg whites (do not overbeat) and fold them into the mixture.
  3. Grease the bowl/pan with oil and bake it at 180 C for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
    Mine was exactly 30 minutes.

Sauce:

  1. Pour hot sauce over the cake as soon as it comes out of the oven.
  2. 1 can Ideal milk (keep 1/4 can aside)
  3. 1 cup of sugar
  4. Boil it together and pour over the hot cake.
  5. Melt together 2 normal sized whole nut chocolate bars and the remaining 1/4 can of Ideal milk.
  6. Don’t boil it, just let it melt.
  7. And pour over the cooled cake.
  8. Enjoy it!

You can serve it with cream and strawberries if you like!
*I added coffee powder to the hot water of the cake to give it a richer taste! Very nice!

  8. Meng en gooi in koek panne.
  9. Bak so 30 minute of tot gaar.
  10. Is redelik klam en baie lig.
    Ek gebruik extra dark/bitter kakao. Heerlik.

    Is quite moist and very light.

  • 1 en n half koppie meelblom
  • 1 en n half koppie suiker
  • 3 eetlepels kakao
  • n kwart koppie kookolie
  • n kwart koppie kookwater
  • 6 eiers
  • n halwe teelepel sout
  • 3 teelepels bakpoeier
  • 1 teelepel vanilla
  1. Sif meel,kakao en suiker saam.Meng die kookolie met kookwater en gooi dit by die meelmengsel en klits saam.
  2. Skei die eiers en voeg die gele by die meelmengsel.
  3. Voeg die sout,vanilla en bakpoeier by.Klits die eierwitte styf en vou dit in die meelmengsel in.
  4. Bak in n oondpan of twee kleiner koekpanne by 180 grade celsuis vir een uur.

Stroop

  • 1 koppie suiker
  • 1 koppie kookwater
  • 2 eetlepels koffiepoeier
  • 1 teelepel vanilla.
  1. Kook vir 5 minute saam en gooi oor warm koek.
  2. Laat die koek koud word.
  3. Smeer gekookte kondensmelk en dan styfgeklopte room.
  4. Versier met flake of peppermint chrisp.
  5. Ek meng kondensmelk met room en gooi oor en strooi dan flake oor.

Translation

Chocolate Syrup Cake

  • 1 and a half cup flour
  • 1 and a half cup of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa
  • a quarter cup of cooking oil
  • a quarter cup of boiling water
  • 6 eggs
  • half a teaspoon of salt
  • 3 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  1. Sift flour, cocoa and sugar together.
  2. Mix the cooking oil with boiling water and pour it into the flour mixture and whisk together.
  3. Separate the eggs and add the yolks to the flour mixture.
  4. Add the salt, vanilla and baking powder.
  5. Beat the egg whites stiffly and fold them into the flour mixture.
  6. Bake in an oven pan or two smaller cake pans at 180 degrees Celsius for one hour.

Syrup

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons of coffee powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
  1. Cook together for 5 minutes and pour over hot cake.
  2. Let the cake cool.
  3. Spread boiled condensed milk and then stiffly whipped cream.
  4. Decorate with flake or peppermint crisp.
  5. I mix condensed milk with cream and pour over and then sprinkle over flake.

Stroop:

  • 1 kop water
  • 1 kop suiker
  • 5ml vanilla essens

Versiering:

  • 1 kop suiker
  • 50ml koekmeelblom
  • 50ml cocoa
  • 375ml water
  • 50ml botter

Metode:

Koek

  1. Meng alles saam
  2. Skep in vierkantige pan
  3. Bak 20min @ 180°

Stroop

  1. Kook alles saam net vir 1 min
  2. Gooi oor koek sodra koek die uit oond kom.

Versiering:

  1. Fantasties en nie eens te soet nie!!!
  2. Meng alles saam en kook tot dik
  3. Gooi oor koek.

  • 50 g Botter
  • 200 ml Strooisuiker
  • 1 Eier
  • 250 ml Koekmeelblom
  • 25 ml Kakao
  • 15 ml Bakpoeier
  • ’n Knippie sout
  • 175 ml Melk
  • 25 ml Fyn gerasperde lemoenskil

Sous:

  • 200 ml Water
  • 50 ml Vars lemoensap
  • 250 ml Bruinsuiker
  • 25 ml Kakao
  • 2 ml Vanielje-ekstrak
  1. Meng die botter en die strooisuiker, voeg die eier by en klits dit tot dit glad en romerig is.
  2. Sif die meel, kakao, bakpoeier en sout saam.
  3. Roer melk by die bottermengsel in en meng dit dan deeglik met die droë bestanddele om klonte te voorkom.
  4. Meng die water, suiker en kakao en kook dit in jou swartpot.
  5. Gooi die deeg in die sous en sit die pot vir 45-50 minute oor ’n lae hitte met die deksel op tot dit gaar is.
  6. Pas op vir te veel kole onder die pot inkrap, die poeding gaan brand.
  7. Moet ook nie die deksel binne die eerste kwartier oplig nie.
  8. Skep die porsies sommer net so uit die swartpot en bedien dit warm met ’n skeppie vla.
  9. Jy kan ook ‘n handvol gekapte neute byvoeg as jy so voel.

Moist Chocolate Cake

Chocolate Cake

  1. Take 2 cups of sugar and 6 eggs.
  2. Beat till creamy.
  3. Add teaspoon vanilla and pinch salt.
  4. Add 2 cups of flour and mix well.
  5. Place 4 teaspoons of baking powder on top of mix but do not mix.
  6. Mix together 4 tablespoons of cocoa, (extra dark/bitter cocoa), 1 1/4 cup warm water and 6 tablespoons of oil.
  7. Pour on top of baking powder make it run.
  8. Mix well and our in cake pans.
  9. Bake for about 30 minutes or until cooked at 180 degrees C.

It’s pretty moist and very light.

Chocolate Frosting/Icing:

  • 3 cups of icing sugar,
  • 1 cup of butter,
  • 150ml of milk and
  • 1 cup of hot chocolate.
