Honey Garlic Chicken Stir Fry

There’s something truly magical about the combination of honey and garlic over perfectly stir-fried chicken and vegetables. This Honey Garlic Chicken Stir Fry is not just a meal; it’s an experience. The sweet and savory sauce clings to the juicy chicken pieces and crisp-tender vegetables, creating a symphony of flavors with each bite. The vibrant colors of the carrots and broccoli not only add a delightful crunch but also make this dish a feast for the eyes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 cup thinly sliced peeled carrots
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low sodium chicken broth or water
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the broccoli and carrots, cooking for about 4 minutes or until tender.
  3. Remove vegetables from the pan, place on a plate, and cover to keep warm.
  4. Wipe the pan clean, then increase heat to high and add the remaining tablespoon of oil.
  5. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  6. Add to the pan in a single layer (may need to cook in batches).
  7. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Add minced garlic to the pan, cooking for 30 seconds.
  9. Return the vegetables to the pan, cooking for 2 more minutes until warmed.
  10. In a bowl, whisk together chicken broth, honey, and soy sauce.
  11. Mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of cold water in a separate small bowl.
  12. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the chicken and vegetables in the pan, cooking for 30 seconds.
  13. Add the cornstarch mixture and bring to a boil.
  14. Cook for 1 more minute or until the sauce has just started to thicken.
  15. Serve immediately, with rice if desired.

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions, chopped for garnish

Directions:

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chicken slices, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through.
  3. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil, garlic, and ginger.
  5. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add bell pepper, broccoli, snap peas, and carrot.
  7. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet.
  9. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil.
  10. Stir well to combine and heat through.

Lemon Chicken Stir-fry:
This 15-Minute Chicken Stir-fry Recipe Is Good Stuff

This lemon chicken stir-fry recipe is super easy to make and just plain good. So simple. Serve this lemony chicken over rice.

Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
2 green onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces (I used thighs)
1 tablespoon soy sauce (I used low-sodium soy sauce)
1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon lemon zest
2 – 3 tablespoons lemon juice (start with 2 and add more, if needed)
chopped green onions, for garnish

Here’s how to make it:
Heat the oil in a skillet.
Add the onion and green onion and cook until soft, about 4 minutes.
Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds.

Add the chicken to the pan and cook until browned and almost cooked through, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Add the soy sauce, sesame oil.
Season with salt and pepper.

Cook until chicken is done, about 2 more minutes.
Remove from the heat and add the lemon zest and lemon juice.

Garnish with the chopped green onions.
