How to Make Basic Soup
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion (diced)
- 2 carrots (diced)
- 2 celery stalks (diced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 6 cups broth
- 2 cups vegetables or protein
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add onion, carrots, and celery.
- Cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
- Pour in broth, bring to a boil, then add other vegetables or protein.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve warm with fresh herbs.
